Statement

Making images of designed spaces is a process that demands my attention and respect. Whether they are gardens or structures, these places require that I get to know them if I would photograph their heart. I have learned that time, thought, and presence are necessary, in addition to technical skill.

Working with a client, whether an architect, interior designer, publisher, or private individual, is a collaboration. Yet the photographs on these pages reflect my inner voice. The balance is delicate—how do I respond to the voice of my client while staying true to my own? Both are essential.

I have been making photographs for a long time. I am stubborn, persistent and committed to excellence. And I love standing behind a camera looking at things.
